These packs are built for you to play with a group of friends - around 5 is best - at home or your local meetup spot.

You’ll get a link to a quiz slideshow that has all the instructions with it.

For the ultimate set up, open your slideshow on a computer and chromecast it to a tv. Otherwise you can play directly from your laptop, tablet, or phone.

You’ll also need your own pad and pen.

When your question round is up, it’s time to mark. You’ll be taken through an answer round where you can record your score to tally up later.

Our quizzes are 6 rounds of 10 questions with a special extra ‘List’ round halfway through. Play will take about 1 - 1.5 hours.

At the end of the quiz there is an opportunity to load your score to a national leaderboard and go in the draw for a spot prize!

When you purchase, you’ll get a link to access the quiz by email with a back up version in case wifi is dodgy as well as host instructions detailing exactly what you need to say and do when to run an EPIC event (it’s easy!).

We’ll also send you a physical package with 2x posters and fun branded answer booklets for your teams.

On the night simply hook your laptop up to a projector or chromecast to a big screen, play the slides, run through our host sheet and you’re away!

You could play this knowing nothing - there are hints and 50/50 or multichoice rounds to help you take a stab if you don’t know the answer.

It’s more about your attitude than knowledge level. Don’t be whakamā/shy if you don’t know a lot - it just means you’ll be learning a lot! It’s just meant to be a bit of fun.

Culture experts might find it a bit easy but it will still be fun to play, particularly with a group of mixed knowledge levels. And you can enjoy seeing your team at the top of our leaderboard table at the end.

All sorts. Sometimes we’ll have fully themed quizzes - like for Matariki but otherwise we like to keep it pretty general.

We’ll always have a picture and music round to keep things fun and one 50/50 and multichoice round to keep things contestable.

Other rounds could be but won’t be limited to; geography, history, pop culture, current affairs, iwi, sports, kai, environment, reo Māori, pūrākau/legends…

We release a new quiz every two months.

You can play your quiz whenever you like but the leaderboard will close and refresh each time our new quiz comes out.

That also means the prize draw will be done for that round.

We create the quiz manually and reference where the information comes from on each answer slide.

We’re working on it! But we highly recommend that reo Māori speakers play in Māori and anyone learning uses all the reo Māori you can!
